Spend a Romantic Evening in a Hammock
Now you are probably wondering what hammocks have to do with romance? Taken
by itself a hammock does not appear to be a romantic thing. If anything it is an
image of lazy summer days spent napping in the shade of big backyard trees, an
ice cold glass of lemonade tilted ever so slightly in the grass beneath. This is
what most people think of when they picture a hammock.
But if you look beyond the everyday picture most people have for a hammock and
think about it a
hammock can be very romantic.
Let’s start in your own backyard. Do you have a hammock? If not maybe you should
think about getting one. And if you are going to use the hammock for romance
make sure you get one that can accommodate two people. Here’s why.
Spending a warm summers evening relaxing with that special someone in a hammock
while sipping on a margarita or a nice glass of wine and watching the sun slowly
set as the evening breeze slips softly through the trees and the sound of
rustling leaves. Sharing quiet and relaxing time with your partner is a very
romantic thing. And the beauty of a hammock is it’s there whenever you feel like
sharing this time.
Now, a hammock in the backyard can be very romantic, but if you want to step up
the romance factor even more then think of a hammock beneath palm trees on a
quiet tropical beach. This will take more planning and of course more money, but
spending a day or evening with that special someone slowly swaying in the
tropical breeze to the sound of waves rolling up on a sandy beach, well, it just
doesn’t get anymore romantic than that.
Another romantic hammock to consider is the
hammock swing. The nice thing about hammock swings is they do come in a love
seat type model. You can hang them underneath a tree, beneath an overhanging
eave or under a tall deck. You can share a quiet evening talking, drinking a
glass of wine, or just doing enjoying the company of your partner. The nice
thing about a hammock swing is it is easier to get into and out of, but it is
not as conducive to taking a nap snuggled next to each other.
Romance is where you find it. If you have a hammock tucked away in your backyard
you have the perfect excuse to spend a romantic evening with little or no
planning on your part. Spontaneity is a romantic’s best friend. |
