Everyone, or nearly everyone, is a slave to biological drive. Two of the most powerful examples of such biological drive are the need to procreate and to simply have a lifelong mate. As with all other groups, Christians desire to find their "perfect" special someone too, and for this there is Christian dating.

Christian dating is based on every other type of dating in that it seeks to pair up like minded people. Of course, all Christians, just like Muslims, Hindus, Pagans, and Zoroastrians, are not alike. Within Christianity there are 3 major factions, Orthodoxy, Protestantism, and Catholicism. While Orthodoxy and Catholicism are similar, there are differences (albeit negligible). However, between Catholics and Protestants there is a considerable amount of historical anger and resentment that still pulses with the modern devout. Most dating services, thus, tend to keep this in mind when matching people up, by telling prospective partners of specific religious belief and levels of tolerance.

Ideally Christian dating would consist of each prospective partner detailing his and her likes and dislikes, along with hobbies and past-times, and other vital statistics, such as age, occupation, (specific type of Christian beliefs), and any other information which might be deemed relevant to him or her, or a future date.

This can be done on paper along with photographs of the person, or on video, which tends to be the preference of modern minds, for good reason. In this way dating candidates can review one another's videos and a certain level of personal information before even meeting, if they are to meet at all.

By this long-proven method people can "get to know" as well as reject a potential mate even before meeting, and so avoid uncomfortable social protocols. This also precludes the wasting of one another's time if, for instance, it's learned (as in traditional dating) three dates into a relationship that one person absolutely wants children whereas the other is emotionally allergic to them.

While these methods may seem a bit shallow and certainly non-traditional, Christian dating gets to the heart of more than romance as it aims to match up potential mates for life when possible. So far the success rate has been, well...next to divine.
